Elizabeth Hume is a Conflict Specialist in the Office of Conflict Management and Mitigation at the US Agency for International Development. She currently works on the Security Sector Reform and Human Rights portfolio and backstops countries in Europe and Eurasia and South Asia. She is a lawyer and was seconded by the US Department of State to the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1997-2000 and the United Nations Mission to Kosovo from 2000-2001. In both missions she served as the Chief Legal Counsel and worked extensively on implementing the peace agreements. From 2001-2002, she worked in Pakistan and Afghanistan on human rights and development programs.
