Master of Science in Conflict Analysis and Resolution (George Mason University)/Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Mediterranean Security (University of Malta)

Employment opportunities exist in settings where conflict resolution is useful such as, businesses, unions, government agencies, diplomatic institutions, religious groups, court systems, educational institutions, community centers, international relief and development organizations, and conflict resolution consulting firms.
 
Academic Degree
 
Students who successfully complete the program and who satisfy the requirements of both Universities are conferred with two degrees:
  • Master of Science in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University
  • Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Mediterranean Security from the University of Malta 
Delivery and Duration

Teaching faculty includes professors from both George Mason University and the University of Malta. The program is delivered over 3 semesters on a full time basis starting in September. All teaching is in English. The 400-year-old University of Malta Valletta campus incorporates state-of-the-art instructional technology. Throughout the first two semesters classes are held on a block basis while the third semester Is devoted to the completion of dissertation/project work.

Admission and Registration
  • US applicants must have a bachelor degree from an accredited University. All other students must have an undergraduate honors degree (second class) from a recognized institution in a relevant area of study. 
  • TOEFL (650 paper, 280 computer based, 114 internet) or IELTS (5.5).
  • Applications for admission will be accepted on a rolling basis with periodic reviews. 
  • Applications are submitted directly to the University of Malta.  

    Important Note: The admissions application is found on the University of Malta web site.  All materials for the application should be sent directly to the University of Malta.  The University of Malta reviews applications and sends out the admissions decisions.

There are currently no scholarships available for this program from the University of Malta or George Mason University.  US students are eligible for federal financial aid.
