Students must complete 6 credits (2 courses) of integrative work, which is meant to be the crowning achievement of your Master’s degree. S-CAR offers three different integrative options, all with the aim of integrating the theory, practice and research that you have experienced during your graduate education.
Integrative Course Options:
1. Applied Practice and Theory (APT)
CONF 690 Practicum in Conflict Analysis and Resolution (6 credits)
2. Internship
CONF 694 Internship (6 credits) or
CONF 694 Internship (3 credits) and CONF 795 Professional Development Seminars (3 credits)
CONF 795 courses are often 1 or 2 credit courses. A total of 3 credits is required, which
means student will likely need to take multiple 795’s to reach 3 credits.
3. Thesis
CONF 799 Master’s Thesis (6 credits) or
CONF 798 (1 credit) & CONF 799 (5 credits)
