All S-CAR students are eligible to apply to any fellowship or assistantship through Mason.

Employment through S-CAR
S-CAR hires a number of students in part time administrative roles. Look for announcements on the S-CAR Network and within the emailed weekly newsletters.
All Mason students may apply to the Graduate Student Travel Fund which covers expenses related to travel to conferences.
S-CAR Travel Fund:
S-CAR has funds to support S-CAR graduate student travel for conferences and workshops to encourage presentations and publications by S-CAR students. Priority for funding will be given to PhD students, funding requests for MS students will also be reviewed.
In order to be eligible students must have submitted the request first to Mason’s Graduate Student Travel Fund. Information is available at http://www.gmu.edu/org/gstf/ . If you have already received your max from the GMU GSTF, please include documentation that this is the case as part of your S-CAR funding application.
How to Apply:
1. Students must have submitted a request to the Mason Graduate Student Travel Fund (GSTF) Apply here at http://gapsa.gmu.edu/resources/gstf/.
2. Create an account at travel.gmu.edu and fill out an authorization to travel form with expected expenses.
3. Submit a copy of the GSTF request package and authorization to travel form by email to Brendan Scott (email@example.com)
4. Submit the following e-form found here.
S-CAR will award funding according to the following priority list
1. Paper Presentation
2. Poster Presentation
3. Workshop facilitator
4. Panel participant
5. Professional development
The maximum award is $300 per request.
Following the travel, students will login to travel.gmu.edu and fill out the travel expense reimbursement form and submit it with receipts for reimbursement.
