Student Organizations

Become a part of something larger than yourself by joining our community of students working for change.

Students here have the option of joining one or more of several student organizations with a variety of purposes and activities.

The Dialogue & Difference Project

This group brings students, faculty, staff, and community members together to discuss current events that may be controversial, but are so important, discussion is necessary. We also sponsor a variety of events on topics that are in the news. Learn more about us and the work we do, and take a moment to check out our Facebook page.

Agora

This organization, which is for students by students, provides a comfortable environment in which to talk about what's happening in the world, but it's not all serious. Members, who can include anyone who is a student at Mason, also socialize and work together on projects. Agora provides opportunities for student-to-student mentoring, scholarships, and recognition of your accomplishments through awards and honors. Find us on Facebook.

Patriots for Peace

Mason students can be catalysts for positive change. Patriots for Peace works to promote the U.S. Institute of Peace's mission to prevent, mitigate, and resolve violent conflict around the world. The group is linked to national and global student organizations to develop an international network of Millennial peacebuilders, and visits the Institute for tours, Q&A's with conflict practitioners, and special events. Projects include the development of a College Peace Club Toolkit.
