Certificates

Our Graduate Certificate programs, designed for mid-career professionals, integrates conflict analysis and resolution theory and practical technique focused on specialized areas of study.

A graduate certificate gives you the enhanced knowledge and abilities to advance in your career while enabling your work to have a wider impact. Our certificate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution has four concentrations that include:

  • Advanced Skills
  • Collaborative Community Action 
  • Prevention and Reconstruction Contexts
  • World Religions and Preacebuilding

In addition, we are now offering a new certificate, Mass Atrocity and Genocide Prevention. This certificate provides students with the practical knowledge of conflict analysis and resolution related to preventing Mass Atrocity.

You will submit all items required for the application through your application portal. Admission requirements, which apply to all Graduate Certificates, include:

  • Online Graduate Application.
  • A non-refundable application fee.
  • The application will require you to submit unofficial transcripts. In addition, two official copies of transcripts from each undergraduate and graduate institution attended are also required.
  • Résumé/CV.
  • A brief goals statement, stating the certificate track you are applying to and why.
  • Two letters of recommendation; which can be from faculty, colleagues or supervisors who can attest to your ability to perform well in this professional certificate program.

*Applicants with international credentials will need to submit additional items

When you submit your application, you'll get an email explaining how to view your status online. You'll see the specific items that we have received and a note on any item that needs to resubmitted. It's your responsibility to ensure that all documents are submitted online and that transcripts are delivered by the application deadline. Incomplete applications won't be reviewed.
