Celebration of Achievements
On Tuesday, May 1st from 6:00 to 8:30 PM, S-CAR invites students, faculty, and friends from all of our programs to celebrate and highlight student research and practice in the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution.
This event provides an opportunity for students to share the work they have been doing in the
S-CAR community, and gives members a chance to honor the outstanding work students are contributing to the conflict resolution field. Join us to celebrate student research and presentation, scholarship announcements, and the S-CAR community.
When: Tuesday, May 1st from 6:00 to 8:30 PM
Where: Arlington Campus, Founders Hall Multipurpose Rooms (125 &1 26)
What: Scholarship announcements, student research presentations, networking, food and drink
Call for Presentations
We invite individual students, groups, and classes to present during this celebration.
There are three opportunities for presentation:
- Lecture style presentation for a large group, lasting about 20 minutes (individual projects and/or class presentation)
- Small round table discussion (Internships and field experience, thesis, practice and research projects)
- Individual poster or PowerPoint presentations (Developing research and practice projects)
Directions to Arlington Campus from Fairfax
Go east on Route 50 (Arlington Blvd.). Exit at Glebe Road, and turn left on Glebe. Turn right on Fairfax Drive. The Arlington Campus is one mile down on North Fairfax Drive, past the FDIC building, on the left. See parking information here.
Shuttlebus and Metro:
Bring your Mason ID and take the GMU shuttle bus from either Sandy Creek or Global (See links for shuttle times). Take the Orange Line to the Virginia Square/GMU station. The Arlington Campus is approximately 2 blocks Take the escalator to the street level, and turn to face Fairfax Drive. Across the street and to the right, you will see the FDIC building. Cross the street and continue past the FDIC building. The Arlington Campus is on the left.
